About
Recon Motorsports and Fabrication (RMS) began in 2024 after I transitioned out of the Marine Corps following 26 years of service and multiple combat deployments. Like many veterans, I faced the challenge of adjusting to a civilian world that felt unfamiliar and disconnected from the structure and purpose I had known for decades.
Traditional veteran organizations were available, but I wasn’t looking to revisit my military past. I needed a space that offered community without uniforms, connection without formal programs, and purpose rooted in building something new.
I found that in motorsports and machining.
In the shop and at the track provided teamwork, focus, and a sense of belonging through work, competition, and craftsmanship.
RMS was created to offer an environment for veterans and youth seeking a practical, pressure‑free place to reconnect, learn skills, and regain stability, while building the resilience to face life's challenges.

Lines of Effort
1. Veteran mental health awareness and support
2. Youth development
The RMS Vision
The vision of Recon Motorsports (RMS) is to build a community of support for veterans through the power, precision, and camaraderie of motorsports. While many veteran‑focused organizations center their recovery efforts around outdoor activities, hunts, or traditional retreats, RMS offers a different path — one rooted in adrenaline, teamwork, technical skill, and purpose.
