Born out of necessity, RMS steering arms are the result of RMS' responsiveness and approachability to you, the racer. The problem the customer needed to solve was to build a steering arm short enough to suit his driving style. At the same time, seeing racers drop from race-winning contention because they lose alignment was unacceptable to me. These arms add extra material along the planes most loaded when contact occurs, making failure less likely. Now, instead of bending steering arms and radius rods, we bend just a radius rod.
Ratios...these arms are being made 3.5"from the front to tie rod bolt centerline and are fast ratio. They will make the steering MORE responsive and require MORE steering effort. We can accommodate requests for slower ratio arms (longer), contact us!
These arms are currently being built for Hyper/DMI type spindles with 7/16 threaded tie rod bolt holes, Sawyer spindles with 3/8-24 threaded tie rod bolt holes, and Factor 1 spindles with 3/8-24 threaded tie rod bolt holes. All steering arms are threaded 3/8-24 for the spindle mounting bolts.

RMS steering arms are backed by RMS’ lifetime support guarantee. If you bend or otherwise destroy the arm without destroying the front axle, the arm(s) will be replaced free of charge, ASAP. I only ask that pictures be taken of the overall damage to the car and close-up shots of the arm for analysis to assist in designing features to address the steering arm failure mode(s).
